Senior Research & Project Engineer – Aerospace
Chase Foster

As a gifted leader, Chase works closely with key strategic partners, lending his deep expertise to InSPIRE's Developmental Test and Evaluation capabilities, including the establishment of aero-testing capabilities, military specification testing and the integration of digital engineering practices to enhance the speed of evaluation in testing platforms.

Chase graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and received a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University. Upon graduation, he was a project engineer for the design, build, and commissioning of FSU’s Polysonic Wind Tunnel at the Florida Center for Advance Aero-Propulsion as well as other facilities as part of the Aero-Propulsion, Mechatronics and Energy building.

Chase worked in oil and gas for C&J Energy Services where he developed and successfully deployed a novel sand storage and distribution system for hydraulic fracturing, significantly reducing moving parts and thus maintenance requirements, receiving a patent.

As an engineer in the planning yard for SEAWOLF, OHIO, and VIRGINIA class submarines at Electric Boat, he was assigned as the nuclear PEPM for planning efforts on an SSN688 class EOH ($1BIL+ overhaul) upon transferring to the program office. He was acting program manager for the Nautilus drydocking availability during proposal submittal, contract negotiations, execution, and delivery, leading a team to successfully deliver early and under budget on a six month $30MIL project. Upon completion of the Nautilus, he was assigned as program supervisor for Final Assembly & Test on the SSBN826 COLUMBIA, a first-in-its-class new ballistic missile nuclear submarine.
