ASTRO America, FSU InSPIRE Launch Second Additive Manufacturing Tech Challenge

The Applied Science & Technology Research Organization of America (ASTRO America) in partnership with FSU InSPIRE today announced the second installment of its national 3D Printing Tech Challenge at the Defense Strategies Institute’s Military Additive Manufacturing (MILAM) Summit. This year’s competition will focus on Distortion Prediction & Compensation in LPBF Inconel 718, a critical challenge facing precision parts manufacturing in aerospace and defense.

Additive Manufacturing Expert, Christopher D. Apple Joins FSU InSPIRE

ASTRO America, a partner of Florida State University’s Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education, has hired Christopher Apple to embed at InSPIRE. One of his key priorities includes analyzing industry sourced data to determine advanced manufacturing facility recommendations and equipment specifications.
